Awardee Badge - Heroine of the Year(1)
Betty Long, RN, MHA, founder of Guardian Nurses Healthcare Advocates, has been named Heroine of the Year for her role in changing how healthcare is delivered in our country. The award will be presented by NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) of South Jersey at the 11th annual Beyond the Glass Ceiling Awards Gala the evening of February 27 at The Mansion in Voorhees, NJ.

Upon hearing about the award, Betty said, "I am deeply honored to accept this recognition on behalf of the nationwide team at Guardian Nurses who spend countless hours helping individual patients receive the clear answers, direction and quality of care they deserve from physicians and insurance companies. This is definitely not a solo effort. I’m extremely fortunate to work with a team of compassionate, professional registered nurses, each of whom has a minimum of 20 years of clinical experience. These nurses and social workers have strong backgrounds in clinical knowledge, case management and patient care. Every member of our advocacy organization is considered a hero in the eyes of each one of their individual patients. We love what we do and feel truly privileged."
