Health insurance does not typically cover patient advocacy fees. Increasingly, the employers who self-fund health plans and union health & welfare funds are including coverage for Guardian Nurses patient advocacy services. In addition, many of the largest employee health benefits consultants (brokers) now include our patient advocacy services in the plans they offer to their client businesses.

Check to see if you may be covered as part of such a plan. If you’re not, contact us. Guardian Nurses accepts payment via Venmo as well as credit card payments through PayPal. Call for current hourly rates.

Let’s face it, the advocate’s employer matters

The cost of FREE patient advocates provided by an insurer or healthcare system is obvious: these advocates are employees working in the best interests of their employer. Guardian Nurses patient advocates are independent—FREE to pursue their one goal: the best outcome for the patient.
