Guardian Nurses is proud to announce that Crystal Santoro, BSN, RN, of Upper Chichester, PA, received the prestigious Outpatient Award at the 2025 Excellence in Nursing event hosted by Main Line Today on May 22, 2025. This award recognizes nurses who demonstrate exceptional clinical skill, patient advocacy, and leadership in outpatient settings.

“Crystal’s unwavering commitment to patient‐centered care and her ability to coordinate complex care plans for our outpatient population have been nothing short of extraordinary,” said Betty Long, Founder of Guardian Nurses. “She embodies the compassion and professionalism that are the hallmarks of our organization, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see her work celebrated by Main Line Today.”

A resident of Upper Chichester, Crystal Santoro joined Guardian Nurses in 2024 with a strong background in both outpatient and acute care settings, most recently specializing in the care of diabetic patients. Earlier in her career, she specialized in providing direct patient care in acute care hospitals throughout the Philadelphia suburbs. “Crystal’s depth of experience and clinical insight have already made a meaningful impact on the patients and families she serves,” added Long.

Upon receiving the award, Crystal Santoro reflected, “I’m deeply honored to be recognized alongside so many talented colleagues. Outpatient nursing presents unique challenges, and I’m grateful to work for an organization that empowers its nurses to innovate and advocate for their patients every day.”

The Excellence in Nursing awards spotlight outstanding nurses across the Philadelphia region. Winners were selected by a panel of peers and healthcare administrators based on measurable impact on patient outcomes and the nursing profession.
