After a stroke, a man was discharged home with supplies, equipment, and overwhelming piles of paperwork. While in-home healthcare visits were scheduled, the professionals weren’t expected to arrive for two days. Happily, a Guardian Nurse helped the patient’s overwhelmed wife go through all the instructions and learn how to use the equipment. She even helped the patient find a new primary care physician who makes housecalls when they discovered that his original doctor had retired. And all during the time of COVID, no less!
